Welcome to the Northumbria Branch of the BCSS

We meet on the second Thursday of the month except August at St Aidan’s Community Centre, Brunton Park, North Gosforth, Newcastle-on-Tyne.

For most of our meetings we have a speaker, a visual presentation, table shows and time for discussion with like-minded folk. We often share a speaker with our sister Branch Teesside (Wednesday) which enables members to hear two consecutive but entirely different talks.

See our contact us page for more details of how to find usand our events page for further details about our programme.

Please bring along any month
– Plants you wish to be identified
– Plants with which you are having particular problems
– Plants for the Table Show as indicated in the schedule
– Any plant in flower – not only to add interest but to make a point of discussion. Members who bring the most throughout the year are awarded a special certificate.

Above all please try and attend whenever possible. This is now the only active Branch between Teesside and Fife and, apart from Teesside, our nearest Branches are York, Glasgow and North Fylde.

Visitors are always welcome at any of our meetings. If you are in the Newcastle area why not come along.
